  • 2nd - 6th July 2018:  WCRP Climate Sensitivity Assessment Authors' Meeting, Edinburgh, (U.K.) (upon invitation only)
The WCRP Climate Sensitivity Assessment is working to make thorough assessment of climate sensitivity.  It aims to clarify the nature and limitations of key evidence, to combine all relevant lines of evidence, to assess the likelihood of very low or high climate sensitivity, to provide robust 5-95% and 'likely' (68%) confidence ranges for ECS and TCR and to highlight future research directions most likely to yield stronger constraints in the future. This authors' meeting will discuss expert reviews on the first draft of the report and start work on the writing of the next draft.  The assessment is expected to be published in 2019, and to feed into the upcoming IPCC assessment.
